I just received a card in the mail indicating that it is time to bring my dogs in for something that’ll probably cost money. The card didn’t say specifically what the vet wants to do, just that “it was time once again” or something like that. Anyway, when I got the card from the vet, it reminded me that tomorrow is Veterinarian’s Day, which, as we all know, is the day that we honor our vets by…
Wait, actually, I think tomorrow is Veteran’s Day, which, I am sure, is different than Veterinarian’s Day. Tomorrow is really a day in which we should all take a few minutes to honor our service men and women for their sacrifices on behalf of our nation. Too often we take this service for granted, not remembering that soldiers have fought, bled and died for our freedoms. Sometimes we take the gifts that have been secured in blood and squander them too easily.
Let us never forget the sacrifices of our fighting forces and let us always honor their memories by making choices for our country that honor their sacrifices on behalf of freedom and democracy. We owe a lot to our service men and women; hopefully, you will take a few minutes to thank God for their service and for the freedoms that we enjoy.
Oh, and I’m not only a blogger…I’m a veteran too!
