You may remember my entry about Civet Coffee (here), a drink that percolates from the gluteal regions of the Civit or Luwak. Civit Coffee can be found in places such as the Phillipines and Indonesia, where folks look for the best cup of poop they can find. The lure of the Civit Coffee can even be seen in Jack Nicholson’s film Bucket List.
Anyway, I looked at the news this morning and, lo and behold, the next natural evolution of drinks has arrived: “Gau Jal,” or “Cow Water.” This tasty drink, which is produced by none other than the Cow Protection Department of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (if you already knew which department I was referring to, then please forgive me for insulting your intelligence), is actually made from cow urine (more here).
I wonder why it has taken mankind so long to finally achieve this new frontier of drinks.
