Protecting Americans

Here’s something to be on the watch about: ABC is wondering if O will reverse the American Servicemember’s Protection Act (here).  President Bush did a huge favor for America by passing this law, which prevents U.S. soldiers from being tried in the Hague for war crimes.  This act was necessary in a world where countries, eager to sully America, could try a U.S. serviceman or a past president or congressman as a war criminal outside of U.S. jurisdiction.  So far, no trials have occurred precisely becuase of this act; however, if O were to overturn this act, then foreign entities would have free license to extradite and try Americans outside of our territory.  That is not national sovereignty and I pray that O leaves this act in place.
