Dave’s Strange and Unusual World

Well, it appears that the list of ‘Obamanees’ (Obama Nominees) who don’t pay their taxes seems to be growing and growing.  Let’s see…there’s Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner…you have Tom Daschle (nominated for Secretary of HHS)…Nancy Killefer (nominated for ‘chief performance officer’)…and, now you can add Ron Kirk (nominated as the US Trade Representative, and known for his role of ‘Kirk’ on Star Trek).  I read somewhere where the question was asked why it seems to be that those who are trying to join the ranks of the administration that intends to spend Americans’ money like there’s no tomorrow seem to be the least willing to contribute to the cause.

If the administration can’t even pick an honest man to place into office, then how am I supposed to seriously believe that the stimu-less funds are going to be used in the best way possible?  Is the oversight given to spending our money going to be as lax as the oversight given to selecting political appointees?  Just asking.

Oh, and by the way, if I just coined the word ‘Obamanees,’ I hereby reserve all rights appertaining thereunto…and, you can bet that I’m not going to pay any taxes on royalties that I earn from my new word…I guess that means I’m next in line for an appointment in the new administration.

  1. William Shatner would be appalled at the misappropriation of his character Bro. However, you know one thing… If 2 + 2 = 5, then anything is possible, even getting away with not paying taxes. How’s the education system this week?
