It was just announced that Customs and Border Patrol agents seized sixteen (16) packets of shamrock seeds from Irish passengers of Aer Lingus, coming into the country (here). Now, I for one, want to say thank you to the bold and courageous agents who, risking life and limb, thwarted an attempt by the so-called “little people” to plant shamrocks on American soil. I say that America needs to take a stand against this unprovoked Irish aggression by refusing to buy our children Lucky Charms. Yes, indeed those passengers of Aer Lingus thought they were quite cunning, but a cunning Lingus passenger will never catch Americans with their pants down!
Discussion question: Does Ireland really have an Aer Lingus?
