More Media Bias

Filed under: Politics,Seriously Serious Stuff — dangrdave @ 3:15 am

Okay, here is another example of what I consider to be blatant media bias, this time coming from ABC News.  The front page of abcnews.com today had an article about Obama and Cheney’s dueling speeches.  I didn’t bother to read the article because I felt as though, just in looking at the images that ABC selected, the article was definitely going to be slanted in favor of Obama.  Can anyone seriously look at the two pictures below, put together, and believe anything other than the fact that ABC was trying to portray Obama as an all-knowing, suave statesman, while portraying Cheney as some evil, pasty lunatic politician of whom we need to fear?  Seriously…it’s pure, full-throttle liberal bias.

Something to Think About

Filed under: Politics,Seriously Serious Stuff — dangrdave @ 4:49 pm

I was just thinking about the irony of the fact that the same liberal group of people that believes it is okay to murder innocent unborn children is the same group of people that wants you to believe that they know best how to raise your child for you.  So, in reality, if you have conservative beliefs, there is a group out there that wants to make sure that your child does not retain those beliefs so that the future can be a like-minded place where the liberal agenda can flourish without dissention.

These liberals want the future to be a place like Nazi, Germany, where babies, like European Jews, really aren’t technically considered “people,” in the literal sense of the word, and can, therefore, be destroyed.  Many people in the U.S. disagree with abortion but, like Germans who didn’t hate the Jews, they just sit silently by and let the vocal minority rise to power and set the prevailing agenda.  As long as we don’t have to see it or know about it, as long as it isn’t taking place in our backyard, then it really isn’t our problem – so said the Germans and so say conservatives in America today.

Germany, before and during World War II became a place where dissent was not allowed.  There were special police to take care of dissenters and neighbors were encouraged to tattle on each other.  Things like that could never be allowed to happen in the U.S., right?  Well, the DHS now has a watch-list of conservative activities that could be deemed subversive, such as being anti-abortion.  As Germans were unable to voice their support for European Jews so long ago, how long will it be until conservatives are no longer able to voice their support for the unborn children that are being killed every day?

Will there be a day, when America, like Germany after the war, wakes up and realizes that it has been sold a pack of lies.  Will we ever come to realize that babies, like European Jews, really are people and that we were monsters to believe that sacrificing their blood for our selfishness was really in our best interest?

It’s just something to think about.

Blessed

Filed under: Seriously Serious Stuff — dangrdave @ 11:39 am

I just want to say that I pitty and pray for those who believe in abortion.  Since I’ve had my daughter, my life has been blessed beyond measure.  At what point did she become a “human?”  At the point of conception.  She always was and she always will be a human.  A human can only come from a sperm and an egg; the joining of these two things do not make something that ultimately one day turns into a human; they become a human at the moment they join and begin to grow.

Stand Up

Filed under: Politics,Seriously Serious Stuff — dangrdave @ 11:39 am

I wanted to throw out some props to Kathy Ireland, which is something I never imagined myself doing on my blog.  However, according to a recent article (here), Kathy has taken a bold stand in defense of unborn children.  I guess this technically puts Kathy on the DHS watch-list for being a potential recruit of terror who believes in the sanctity of life.  Despite the increased scrutiny that she will face, I am glad that people with convictions are finally beginning to stand up for truth.

Our nation is going in such a direction that we shun those who speak the truth and hold conservative values.  So, my encouragement to you is to stand up for your conservative beliefs and make them known before you no longer have the ability to do so.

I’ve recently watched a couple of World War II movies, particularly Life is Beautiful and The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, and I often find myself wondering how the Germans could allow their country to become a dark place where dissent was silenced and where wrong became right.  The only conclusion that I can find is that conservative people did not stand up for their beliefs; they silently sat by while raging liberals took away their freedoms and their voices.

Now, we may not ever be sending conservatives to concentration camps, but Americans are surely losing their freedoms and their voice each day that they sit silently by and allow a liberal onslaught to overwhelm them.  If we cannot be bold enough to stand up for our beliefs, we will find ourselves living in a modern-day Gomorrah with our children being taught and indoctrinated into the very things that we detest, by the very people that we do not agree with.

Twistory Revisited

Filed under: Politics,Religion,Seriously Serious Stuff — dangrdave @ 5:40 pm

I wrote an entry before about, what I call ‘Twistory’ (here).  So, I just came across a new article (here) showing more examples of an agenda being perpetuated in America’s schools to twist facts and brainwash children.  The article mentions that there are numerous textbooks that are distorting religion, giving school children the biased belief that Islam is correct and Christianity is a fraud.  From the article:

Islam has a privileged position,” [Dennis Ybarra] said. “It’s not critiqued or criticized or qualified, whereas Judaism and Christianity are.

Continuing:

One example is in the glossary of “World History: Continuity and Change.” It calls the Ten Commandments “moral laws Moses claimed to have received from the Hebrew God,” while the entry for the Koran contains no such qualifier in saying it is the “Holy Book of Islam containing revelations received by Muhammad from God.

Oh, that’s fair.  I think that parents need to monitor what their children are learning, and take the time to correct the fallacies and lies; it is your responsibility to train up your children with your values and morals…if you leave this to the schools, your child can end up with wrong, twisted beliefs and perceptions.
